The Celebrant
Much like ancient myths of the deity Pan or the Horned King, you are endowed with the ability to cause reckless mania in others. Whilst you yourself are somewhat resistant to it and can remain lucid if you so chose, those who spend time close to you for more than a few minutes might fall under its spell. For when your power is at its height, it triggers a complete loss of inhibitions. This often manifests in an intoxicated crowd surrounding you, engaging in unspeakable acts as if possessed by devils.
Long Description: You carry the fires of wild revelry and celebration in your veins, itching at any moment to break loose. It is an infectious drive. It manifests in those close by, as they experience an intense desire to be joyous and celebratory of existence - to fulfill desires the victim never had the courage to chase before, and to follow whatever whim they might be feeling - or it might feed into baser instincts. Either way, if a vampire was to feed from you, they receive all of these effects dialed up to eleven - and may grow violently protective of you, addicted to your joy completely or simply display intense mania until they are forced to put distance between you and them.
Mechanics: You have a passive aura about you that creates in people a small but giddy sense of freedom and joy. When you choose to dial this up and activate the greater version of your power, then the fun really begins. Everyone within six steps of you finds themselves compelled to act with drastically reduced inhibitions and take to revelry. It is a great high, for most, a feeling of floating inebriation and pounding desire to be united with those around them.
During this time your suggestions hold great weight in the collective subconscious of the victims present; you might want to dance, and begin to do so, calling out your desire and soon you have a whole room rocketing into laughter and moans, writhing as they too begin to dance.
It does not last long, about five or ten minutes, but long enough to create the most delicious dark twists in any gathering.
This is an "extreme" use of a human power and as such it can only be used once on roleplay night one, and twice on any night thereafter. You will be given a sash/ribbon to hide on your person and take out - and wrap around your torso - when you activate this power. We will go through how people should act in the main briefing.
When you are not using your extreme activation of your power, if The Blank steps into your immediate environment (within six steps of you) then over a few minutes the victims of your revelry will begin to clear their minds and become lucid again, though what they did during the inebriation is blurry to them and confused, like a fever dream. Of course if you’ve gone to town and publicly declared to the roleplayers around you that you’re activating The Celebrant’s power (by sliding the sash onto you) then The Blank can suck on eggs. Unless they activate their special power to its extreme level, too, they can do nothing. If they do use up one of their extreme uses, however, everyone clears much faster, some instantly enough to recognise in horror the position they’ve found themselves in.
The Purge can also clear people of your influence on a one-to-one basis but doing so (if the victim is suffering the extreme activation of your power) requires The Purge to similarly activate the extreme level of their power, and likely use it up.
